Salary Range: $71,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and qualify packaging materials and systems for new and existing products.
• Optimize current packaging for cost reduction, performance improvement, and sustainability initiatives.
• Conduct material testing, validation, and performance analysis for packaging components.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, marketing, and supply chain teams to integrate packaging solutions.
• Ensure all packaging designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues on the production line and in the field.
• Manage packaging development projects from concept through commercialization.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and a strong understanding of various packaging materials.
• Demonstrated knowledge of packaging testing standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and quality control processes.
• Experience with packaging line integration, automation, and supply chain optimization.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Experience with packaging line automation or robotics integration.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Demonstrated experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or advanced sustainable packaging strategies.
