Reliability Engineer | Whitehall, MI

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and optimize Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM) strategies.
• Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for critical manufacturing assets.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and areas for reliability improvement.
• Implement Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to maximize asset uptime.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on new equipment specifications for reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for asset performance and maintenance processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 3-5+ years of experience in a reliability engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, and other reliability methodologies.
• Practical experience with Predictive Maintenance (PdM) technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasonics.
• Proficiency in analyzing maintenance data, calculating reliability metrics, and utilizing CMMS/EAM systems.
• CMRP or CRL certification preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Proficiency in Python or R for advanced data analysis and predictive modeling
• Experience with Digital Twin or Industrial IoT (IIoT) implementation
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification
