Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Zeeland that are seeking skilled Shipping & Receiving Clerks. Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, components, and finished goods against purchase orders or invoices.
• Prepare, package, label, and document outgoing shipments according to customer specifications and carrier requirements.
• Load and unload trucks and other vehicles safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for incoming and outgoing materials, performing data entry and assisting with physical counts.
• Organize and maintain the cleanliness and efficiency of the shipping and receiving docks and storage areas.
• Coordinate with internal departments (production, purchasing, quality) and external carriers to ensure timely delivery and dispatch.
• Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with received or outgoing shipments.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) and basic computer skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks; valid certification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, labeling, and order fulfillment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in a warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices for material handling.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience utilizing ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• HAZMAT certification or prior experience handling hazardous materials
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with international shipping documentation and customs procedures
