Salary Range: $48,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications.
  • Document inspection results accurately, including acceptance, rejection, and non-conformance data.
  • Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and quality specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare quality reports for review.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., SPC, ISO 9001).
  • Excellent attention to detail and observational skills for defect identification.
  • Experience with inspection processes in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software.
