Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize welding processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement welding procedures, specifications, and quality control plans.
- Select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and materials for manufacturing needs.
- Troubleshoot welding issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct welding training and certification for production personnel.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure weldability of new products.
- Monitor and analyze welding data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in welding process development, optimization, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of various welding processes (e.g., GTAW, GMAW, SAW, FCAW, resistance welding) and their applications.
- Knowledge of metallurgy, material science, and weldability of common manufacturing alloys.
- Experience with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO).
- Proficiency in welding inspection techniques and quality control procedures.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Experience with advanced NDT methods beyond basic visual inspection.
- - Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and their application to welding processes.
- - Knowledge of robotic or automated welding systems.
- - Certification in specific welding processes (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Inspector).
- - Experience with materials science and metallurgy relevant to manufacturing applications.
