Salary Range: $82,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize welding processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met.
• Develop and implement welding procedures, specifications, and work instructions.
• Select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and techniques for various manufacturing applications.
• Conduct root cause analysis of welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Train and mentor welding personnel on best practices, safety protocols, and new technologies.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure weldability of product designs.
• Monitor and control welding parameters to maintain consistent weld quality and mechanical properties.
• Stay abreast of new welding technologies, materials, and industry advancements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) certification.
• Proven experience with various welding processes (e.g., SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW, FCAW).
• Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, codes, and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, API).
• Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and interpretation of results.
• Proficiency in welding procedure specification (WPS) development and qualification.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with advanced welding processes such as laser welding, electron beam welding, or friction stir welding.
• - Familiarity with welding automation and robotic systems integration.
• - Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and their application in welding quality control.
• - Certification in welding inspection (e.g., CWI, CWE).
• - Experience with welding simulation software for process optimization.
