Salary Range: $54,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of machinists in daily operations and skill development.
  • Program, set up, and operate complex CNC machinery and conventional machine tools.
  • Perform quality inspections of machined components to ensure adherence to specifications and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, machine malfunctions, and process inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams on new product development and process improvements.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of machinery and tooling.
  • Develop and implement efficient machining strategies and best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with CNC mills, lathes, and manual machining equipment.
  • Proven ability to lead a team of machinists, delegate tasks, and provide mentorship.
  • Proficient in G-code programming, CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360), and complex machine setup.
  • Expert ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and utilize precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for machining processes, tooling, and machine performance.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in advanced CAD/CAM software for fixture design or complex part programming.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring or formally training junior machinists.
  • Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities.
