Salary Range: $48,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and products against specifications and drawings.
• Utilize various precision measurement tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
• Accurately document all inspection results, measurements, and observations in designated quality management systems or records.
• Identify, segregate, and label non-conforming materials, initiating the non-conformance reporting process.
• Collaborate with quality engineers and supply chain to investigate root causes of defects and facilitate corrective actions.
• Maintain calibration status and proper functioning of all inspection tools and equipment.
• Review and verify supplier certifications, test reports, and other quality documentation for compliance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles, including sampling plans and Acceptable Quality Limits (AQL).
• Experience with Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) processes and material disposition.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry into Quality Management Systems (QMS) or ERP systems.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience operating advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).
• Familiarity with specific industry quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 13485).
• Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
• Relevant quality certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).
