Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine calibration and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning instrumentation and control systems.
  • Document calibration results, maintenance activities, and equipment history accurately.
  • Adhere to established calibration procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Utilize various test equipment and calibration standards to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Maintain calibration tools and test equipment in good working order.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for calibration processes.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, metrology, mechanical engineering technology).
  • 2+ years of experience in calibration, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with calibration software and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure calibrators).
  • Strong understanding of measurement principles, calibration standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.1), and good documentation practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and calibration procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for precise measurements and accurate record-keeping.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with automated calibration systems.
  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs or adjustments to test equipment.
