Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Wayland that are seeking Tool and Die Makers. Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, repair, and modify dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
- Perform precision measurements using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tooling and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes.
Recommended Qualifications
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam) for design and programming
- Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machinery (e.g., CNC mills, lathes, EDMs)
- Knowledge of G-code and M-code for manual programming and troubleshooting
- Certification in a related field (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma)
- Experience with precision measurement tools and techniques (e.g., CMM, optical comparators)
