Salary Range: $55,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing firms in the Norton Shores area that seek skilled Robotics Technicians. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and look for professionals who can contribute effectively. Usual Responsibilities

• Teach and touch up points on existing robot programs.
• Replace and align end-of-arm tooling, grippers, and weld tips.
• Log downtime, repairs, and program changes in maintenance records.
• Support production and maintenance teams during changeovers and line trials.
• Set up and start up robotic welding and assembly cells at the beginning of each shift.
• Monitor robot cycles and adjust programs when parts or fixtures change.
• Perform daily safety checks on robots, guarding, and light curtains.
• Troubleshoot faults and recover robots after stops or alarms.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in robotics, electronics, or mechatronics.
• Two or more years of hands-on experience with industrial robots in a plant setting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, and robot program code.
• Experience with common robot brands and teach pendants.
• Working knowledge of lockout/tagout and machine guarding standards.
• Comfort with basic hand tools, multimeters, and mechanical adjustments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Formal robot programming training or manufacturer certification.
• Ability to weld or fabricate simple fixtures.
• Prior work in automotive or Tier 1 supplier manufacturing.
• Experience with robotic welding, painting, or machine tending cells.
• Familiarity with PLCs and vision systems.
