Salary Range: $47,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Kentwood that are seeking Weld Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) to fabricate and repair components.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements and procedures.
• Inspect welded joints and components for quality, defects, and adherence to established standards and codes.
• Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment, fixtures, and machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
• Set up, adjust, and operate welding machines and equipment according to job specifications and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• AWS Certified Welder (CW) certification
• 3+ years experience in manufacturing welding
• Proficient in blueprint reading and weld symbol interpretation
• Demonstrated ability to perform various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick)
• Experience with quality control procedures and inspection techniques
