Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Mason seeking Welding Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify welding procedures (WPS) and specifications for new and existing products.
• Provide technical support and expertise to production teams on welding-related issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate and recommend new welding equipment, technologies, and consumables.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and customer specifications for welding processes.
• Design and optimize welding fixtures and tooling to improve efficiency and quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on welding processes.
• AWS Certified Welding Engineer (CWEng) or equivalent certification.
• Proficient in various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) and their application.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, material science, and their impact on weld quality.
• Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and interpretation.

Bonus Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification
• Experience with robotic welding systems
• Familiarity with NDT methods beyond visual inspection (e.g., UT, RT, MT, PT)
• SolidWorks or other CAD software proficiency
• PMP certification or experience managing technical projects
