Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials and components.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality or delivery.
• Collaborate with production and planning to optimize inventory levels.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
• Research market trends and new technologies to inform purchasing strategies.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost reduction and favorable terms.
• Proficiency in supplier relationship management, including sourcing, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems for demand planning, purchase order management, and inventory control.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, or engineering drawings for manufacturing components.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience
• Proficiency with advanced data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL)
• Experience with international sourcing and logistics
• Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, CSCP)
