Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of production tooling to ensure operational readiness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related production issues, minimizing downtime and improving efficiency.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling performance, cost reduction, and extended lifespan.
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to define tooling requirements for new products and processes.
- Manage tooling projects from concept through validation, including vendor selection and budget control.
- Conduct tool trials, validations, and first article inspections to ensure tooling meets specifications and quality standards.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- X years of experience in tooling design, fabrication, or maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Mastercam) for design and analysis.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, CNC machining, or assembly.
- Demonstrated knowledge of GD&T, materials science, and tooling standards.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with advanced metrology and inspection techniques.
- Proficiency in FEA or other simulation software for tool performance analysis.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes for tooling applications.
