Job Overview

As the Lead NDT Engineer X-ray CT, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing high-precision industrial CT scanning and radiographic inspection processes. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine testing methodologies, ensure compliance with industry standards, and implement new technologies to enhance imaging capabilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead X-ray CT and digital radiography NDT operations, ensuring high-quality inspection and analysis.
  • Develop and optimize scanning protocols for complex materials, components, and assemblies.
  • Oversee data interpretation, defect analysis, and reporting, providing expert guidance to teams.
  • Implement new imaging techniques and software tools to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with ASNT, NAS410, ASTM, and other industry standards.
  • Train and mentor junior NDT engineers and technicians on best practices.
  • Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and production teams to support testing initiatives.
  • Maintain and calibrate advanced CT scanning equipment for peak performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in inspection efficiency, automation, and AI-based analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in NDT with a strong focus on X-ray CT and digital radiography.
  • Certifications in NDT (Level III preferred) ASNT, NAS410, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in CT data reconstruction, segmentation, and defect characterization.
  • Experience working with industrial CT scanning systems and software (VGStudio, Volume Graphics, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex imaging data and material integrity.
  • Knowledge of metrology, 3D scanning, and reverse engineering applications.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or advanced manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with AI-enhanced image processing and automation.
  • Leadership experience in a high-tech lab or industrial inspection environment.
  • Strong communication skills for technical documentation and client interactions.
