Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Allegan seeking Tool Makers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, repair, and modify various tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications.
  • Operate a range of precision machinery, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM equipment.
  • Perform precise measurements and inspections using metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling issues, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Select appropriate materials and heat treatment processes for tool construction.
  • Maintain and calibrate tooling to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Completion of a Tool & Die Maker Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Journeyman Tool Maker.
  • Proficient in operating conventional and CNC machine tools (mills, lathes, grinders, EDMs).
  • Ability to interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
  • Experience with various measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
