Salary Range: $66,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Walker that are seeking Tool Room Supervisors. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Manage the repair, maintenance, and calibration of all production tooling.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for tooling and equipment.
• Supervise and train tool room technicians, fostering a skilled and safety-conscious team.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to optimize tooling performance and design.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards within the tool room.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a tool room environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, including CNC milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience with tool and die making, maintenance, and repair.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of skilled machinists and toolmakers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex tooling issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for tool design or modification.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) to support a diverse workforce.
