Salary Range: $65,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Muskegon region seeking Tool Room Supervisors. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Manage the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tooling and equipment.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all tools.
• Supervise and train tool room personnel, fostering a culture of safety and quality.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for tools, spare parts, and consumables.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address tooling needs and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred.
• 5+ years experience in a tool room, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting various machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, EDM).
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and mentor a team.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for tool design and fabrication.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish or Mandarin.
• Project management experience, overseeing tool room expansion or new equipment integration.
