Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding procedures for various manufacturing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate and select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and robotic systems.
• Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and manufacturing personnel.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure weldability and optimize product design.
• Implement and maintain quality control standards for all welding operations.
• Research and apply new welding technologies to improve efficiency and product quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in welding engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) and their application in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Experience with NDT methods and quality control procedures in welding.
