Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Spring Lake that are seeking Welding Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify welding procedures specifications (WPS) and welding procedure qualification records (PQR).
• Provide technical support and expertise for welding processes and equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to optimize weldability and manufacturability.
• Manage welding projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.
• Implement and maintain welding quality control systems and standards.
• Train and mentor welding technicians and other personnel on best practices.
• Evaluate new welding technologies and materials for potential application.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in welding engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) and their application to different materials.
• Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, material science, and failure analysis.
• Experience with welding codes, standards, and specifications (e.g., AWS, ASME, API).
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.

Bonus Qualifications

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
• Experience with robotic welding systems and automation
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods beyond visual inspection
• Project management experience in a manufacturing environment
