Salary Range: $74,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and improve manufacturing process capability and performance.
  • Support new product introduction by ensuring quality requirements are met through APQP and PPAP processes.
  • Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement in supplied materials.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in quality methodologies and tools such as FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 or other relevant industry quality management systems (e.g., IATF 16949, AS9100).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques to improve product and process quality.

Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
  • Proficiency with statistical software packages such as Minitab or JMP.
  • Experience conducting internal or external quality system audits (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and their application in quality improvement projects.
