Salary Range: $43,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding specifications to determine layouts.
  • Operate various welding equipment (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) to join metal components.
  • Perform welding on a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Inspect finished welds for quality, structural integrity, and adherence to specifications.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to design requirements.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and quality standards during welding operations.
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure a clean and organized work area.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in common welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) relevant to manufacturing.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
  • Strong understanding and adherence to welding safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated physical dexterity, stamina, and ability to work in various positions.
  • Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1) or equivalent vocational training.

Bonus Qualifications

  • AWS D1.1 certification in multiple welding processes or materials.
  • Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Experience with fabrication tasks such as cutting, grinding, and fitting.
  • Basic understanding of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods like visual inspection.
