Quality Technician | Newaygo, MI
Salary Range: $44,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Utilize precision measurement tools and equipment to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Document inspection results, non-conformances, and quality data accurately.
- Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for quality defects.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Demonstrated ability to use precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators).
- Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- ASQ Certification (e.g., CQT, CQIA)
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) for SPC charting and data interpretation.
- Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Yellow Belt).
- Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
