Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mechanical designs for manufacturing processes and products.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Conduct design analysis, including FEA, to optimize performance and material usage.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and product quality.
• Generate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and engineering specifications for new and existing products.
• Support the prototyping, testing, and validation phases of product development.
• Identify and implement design improvements to enhance product reliability and reduce costs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related engineering field
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA)
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication)
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
• Knowledge of material properties and selection for manufacturing applications
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in FEA/CFD simulation tools.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of designs.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with specific manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, casting, welding, additive manufacturing) from a process engineering perspective.
