EHS Manager | Allegan, MI

Salary Range: $81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and company policies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective EHS programs and management systems.
• Conduct EHS risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate workplace hazards.
• Lead and participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees.
• Perform regular EHS inspections and audits to identify non-compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor EHS performance metrics, prepare reports, and communicate findings to leadership.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and best practices.
• Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Professional EHS certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification or experience
• Experience with EHS management software implementation and optimization
• ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification
• Demonstrated experience leading sustainability initiatives and ESG reporting
