The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Battle Creek seeking Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices, including matching, coding, and entering.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices for products and services.
• Process customer payments, apply cash, and reconcile daily cash receipts.
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Conduct collections activities for overdue customer accounts, communicating payment status.
• Support month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer master data in the accounting system.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of combined Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Demonstrated ability in invoice processing, 3-way matching, cash application, and account reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for vendor and customer interactions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Familiarity with automated AP/AR platforms (e.g., Concur, AvidXchange).
• Understanding of manufacturing supply chain processes or inventory accounting.
• Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
