Salary Range: $76,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for manufacturing equipment and facilities.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex electrical and control system failures to minimize production downtime.
  • Program, maintain, and optimize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for automated processes.
  • Ensure all electrical installations and modifications comply with industry standards, safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA), and company policies.
  • Manage electrical projects from conception through commissioning, including scope definition, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Support the installation, startup, and integration of new manufacturing machinery and production lines.
  • Develop and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in designing, programming, and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical power distribution, motor control (VFDs, servo drives), and instrumentation.
  • Experience with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) for schematics and panel design.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation issues in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA) and machine safety principles.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Advanced PLC programming and HMI development experience (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell).
  • Experience with industrial robotics integration and programming.
  • Knowledge of machine vision systems for quality control or guidance.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards and Arc Flash analysis.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
