Salary Range: $58,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs using CAM software for multi-axis milling machines.
• Create and optimize toolpaths to achieve specified part dimensions and surface finishes.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding strategies for various materials.
• Perform program simulations and troubleshoot potential machining errors or collisions.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to refine designs and improve manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain tooling libraries and post-processors for specific machines.
• Generate detailed setup sheets and work instructions for machine operators.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM).
• Strong understanding and ability to write/edit G-Code and M-Code.
• Proven experience in programming 3-axis and multi-axis CNC milling machines.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of cutting tool selection, workholding, and machining strategies for various materials.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced standalone G-code simulation software (e.g., Vericut).
• Ability to design and optimize workholding fixtures.
• Experience with post-processor development or modification.
• Knowledge of automation integration (e.g., robotics, pallet systems).
