Field Service Technician | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $55,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with machinery and control systems.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
• Provide technical support and training to customer personnel on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Document all service activities, repairs, parts used, and customer interactions accurately.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company regulations during field operations.
• Manage and maintain field service tools, equipment, and inventory effectively.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• 2+ years of experience in field service or maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
• Technical degree or certification in a relevant field (e.g., Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi)
• Proficiency in a second language relevant to international clients or a diverse customer base
• Certification or advanced training in industrial robotics or advanced automation systems
• Strong IT/networking troubleshooting skills for industrial control systems and communication protocols
• Familiarity with CAD software or advanced blueprint reading for custom installations/modifications
