Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials against specifications and drawings.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product conformance.
• Document inspection results accurately, including acceptance or rejection status.
• Identify, segregate, and document non-conforming materials, initiating proper disposition procedures.
• Maintain detailed inspection records and ensure material traceability.
• Collaborate with purchasing and engineering to resolve material discrepancies.
• Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and non-conformance procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software for data entry.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Familiarity with ERP systems for material transactions (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• ASQ Certification (e.g., CQT, CQI).
• Experience with supplier non-conformance reporting and resolution.
