Salary Range: $62,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of tools and equipment.
• Manage inventory of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and spare parts, implementing robust tracking and reordering systems.
• Supervise, train, and mentor tool room personnel, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
• Implement and enforce preventative maintenance schedules for all tooling and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and production departments to understand tooling requirements and resolve issues.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications for all manufactured or repaired tooling.
• Maintain records of tool usage, repair history, and inventory levels for reporting and analysis.
• Implement and promote safety procedures and best practices within the tool room.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a tool room environment, including knowledge of tool design, manufacturing processes, and materials.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of skilled technicians.
• Excellent understanding of preventative maintenance programs and calibration procedures for tooling and machinery.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience with inventory management systems and the ability to control tooling stock levels.
• Knowledge of quality control standards and best practices within a manufacturing setting.
