Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, CAD models, and specifications to create tooling.
• Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines.
• Perform precision measurements and inspections to ensure tooling meets strict tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing tooling to optimize production efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to develop and improve tooling designs.
• Maintain detailed records of tooling production, maintenance, and repairs.
• Select appropriate materials and heat treatment processes for tooling fabrication.

Recommended Qualifications

• - Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker.
• - Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• - Expertise in operating precision machining equipment (e.g., CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, grinders).
• - Strong understanding of tool steels, heat treatment, and metallurgy.
• - Ability to perform precise measurements and inspections using various metrology tools.
• - Knowledge of CAD/CAM software is a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with CNC programming and operation for tooling
• - Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD/CAM software
• - Knowledge of heat treatment processes for tool steels
• - Experience with EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining)
