Salary Range: $52,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the shipping and receiving departments to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Supervise, train, and mentor shipping and receiving staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected for damage, and properly documented.
• Coordinate the timely and accurate preparation and dispatch of outgoing shipments, verifying order details and ensuring proper packaging.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and best practices within the shipping and receiving areas.
• Manage and optimize shipping and receiving workflows to reduce bottlenecks and improve turnaround times.
• Liaise with internal departments, carriers, and suppliers to resolve shipping-related issues and ensure smooth logistics.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a shipping and receiving environment within manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
• Strong understanding of shipping regulations, documentation, and logistics.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
• - Forklift certification and experience operating various types of forklifts.
• - Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs documentation.
• - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their application in a shipping/receiving environment.
• - Basic understanding of quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing goods.
