Key Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust manufacturing presses according to job specifications and production schedules.
• Operate various presses (e.g., stamping, forming, hydraulic) to produce parts, monitoring machine performance.
• Perform routine quality checks on finished parts, identifying and reporting any defects or non-conformances.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and perform basic preventive maintenance on presses.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production instructions to ensure accurate part production.
• Load raw materials into presses and unload finished products, ensuring proper material handling.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses (e.g., stamping, hydraulic, CNC).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for machine adjustments, tool changes, and basic troubleshooting.
• Proficient in using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers) and performing in-process quality checks.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Forklift certification
• Overhead crane operation experience
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges)
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Lean manufacturing or 5S principles
