Salary Range: $49,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product specifications.
  • Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances, and maintain detailed quality records.
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming materials, initiating appropriate corrective action requests.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product compliance.
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and visual acuity for defect identification.
  • Aptitude for accurate data collection, detailed record-keeping, and clear report generation.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar certification.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software and data analysis.
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
