Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $42,000 - $62,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Allendale that are seeking Shipping & Receiving Clerks. Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damages.
• Accurately document and log all received goods into the inventory management system.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation for carriers.
• Load and unload trucks and other vehicles using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain an organized and clean shipping and receiving area.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate with production and other departments to ensure timely material flow.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, or receiving environment
• Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and inventory management software
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (e.g., up to 50 lbs)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Familiarity with shipping carriers and their procedures

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with barcode scanners and inventory management software
• - Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• - Forklift certification
• - Familiarity with international shipping documentation
