Validation Engineer | Grandville, MI

Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) for manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Document all validation activities, including deviations, changes, and final reports.
• Identify and implement improvements to validation processes and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GMP).
• Troubleshoot and resolve validation-related issues.
• Participate in equipment commissioning and qualification activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, production, quality assurance) on validation projects.
• Maintain and update validation master plans and associated documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial) or a related scientific field.
• 3+ years of experience in process validation, equipment validation, or software validation within a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, medical device, food & beverage).
• Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5).
• Experience with developing and executing validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) and validation summary reports.
• Proficiency in risk assessment techniques (e.g., FMEA) and change control procedures.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software.
• - Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.
• - Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) relevant to the specific industry.
• - Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
• - Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
