Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely bi-weekly or weekly payroll for all manufacturing employees, including hourly, salaried, and temporary staff.
• Manage and reconcile timekeeping data from shop floor systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
• Calculate and process payroll deductions, garnishments, and benefits contributions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and submit accurate tax filings.
• Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Generate payroll-related reports for management, HR, and finance departments.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and time off.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience processing high-volume, multi-state payroll, preferably for hourly employees in a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations, including FLSA.
• Proficiency in utilizing major payroll software (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday) and integrated timekeeping systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex payroll calculations, including shift differentials, various overtime rules, and incentive pay.
• Strong reconciliation skills for payroll accounts and experience with related journal entries and general ledger postings.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with union payrolls, shift differentials, or piece-rate calculations
• Familiarity with payroll modules in major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor)
• Proficiency with advanced time & attendance systems integrated with shop floor operations
• Understanding of cost accounting principles related to labor and manufacturing overhead
