Assembly Supervisor | Flint, MI

Salary Range: $60,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing firms in the Flint area that seek skilled Assembly Supervisors. Usual Responsibilities

• Train new assemblers on build steps and safety rules.
• Check work in process against quality standards and drawings.
• Resolve line stoppages and escalate equipment or material issues.
• Track attendance, hours, and production records for the shift.
• Run shift handoff meetings and report status to the plant manager.
• Enforce safety and housekeeping practices on the floor.
• Assign daily work and set line priorities for assembly teams.
• Monitor production output and adjust staffing to meet schedule.

Recommended Qualifications

• Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and build sheets.
• Basic math and computer skills for production tracking.
• Strong communication skills with hourly staff and managers.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• or more years in assembly or production work.
• or more years leading or supervising a team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean or continuous improvement methods.
• Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001.
• Technical certificate or associate degree in a related field.
• Experience with time and attendance or ERP software.
• Background in a high-volume or automotive assembly setting.
