About the Role:

As the Quality Manager, you will take full ownership of quality strategy and execution, managing a team across multiple shifts while also serving as a key customer liaison. This role blends hands-on oversight with cross-functional collaboration, including regular negotiation with customers to maintain lean margins without compromising product integrity. Youll play a vital role in balancing internal efficiency with external expectationsmaking this position essential to the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and coach a team of 6 Quality Technicians across 3 shifts

  • Establish and maintain a proactive quality culture grounded in accountability and teamwork

  • Own customer-facing quality communications, including audits and ongoing negotiations

  • Navigate client discussions to protect lean operating margins while upholding product quality

  • Oversee variation analysis and dimensional inspections using CMM systems

  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality certifications and internal standards

  • Work closely with Metrology, Engineering, and Production teams to troubleshoot and optimize processes

  • Occasionally overlap with third shift for early-morning support and alignment

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Proven success in a quality leadership role within a manufacturing setting

  • Experience leading customer quality interactions, including negotiation and audit support

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance technical integrity and cost-efficiency

  • Familiarity with CMM tools and measurement systems

  • Comfortable operating in a lean, flat organization with limited oversight

  • Deep understanding of quality certifications and audit preparation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience in quality or manufacturing

  • Background in customer or supplier quality management

  • Exposure to dimensional inspection tools and variation analysis methods

  • Previous leadership in a multi-shift production or quality environment
