Position Overview:
We're seeking an Industrial Networking Engineer to lead integration efforts across factory automation, SCADA platforms, and enterprise-level systems. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned controls or automation professional whos fluent in PLC environments but thrives when solving network architecture, data flow, and edge-to-cloud challenges. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain industrial PC systems that connect PLCs to databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise tools

  • Implement SCADA-style solutions and IoT platforms for machine monitoring and remote visibility

  • Integrate factory equipment with SQL databases, APIs, and OPC-UA communication standards

  • Configure TCP/IP networks to support secure, real-time data transfer across machines and systems

  • Support setup and commissioning of vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) with industrial software integration

  • Assist controls teams with testing and validating machine communication layers

  • Troubleshoot field issues, both onsite and remotely, involving software, hardware, and network connectivity

  • Create technical documentation for network architecture, system processes, and configuration standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of networking principles in an industrial or automation context

  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, IoT platforms, or cloud-based monitoring tools

  • Experience integrating PLCs with PC-based or cloud-connected applications

  • Proficiency with SQL, OPC-UA, and API-driven data exchange

  • Strong background in Windows PC configuration, remote access tools, and IP addressing

  • Willingness to support occasional after-hours work for critical installations or support needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in industrial controls, SCADA engineering, or factory IT/OT convergence roles

  • Experience with Telit IoT platforms, Cognex/Keyence vision systems, or similar technologies

  • Practical knowledge of modern manufacturing environments or warehouse automation

  • Ability to pivot between electrical, software, and networking conversations seamlessly

  • No formal degree requireddemonstrated field experience is valued most
