Position Overview:
Were seeking a Network and Controls Engineer to lead technical initiatives that bring factory equipment online literally and operationally. In this hybrid role, you'll design and support systems that tie PLCs, PCs, vision tools, and cloud platforms into one cohesive ecosystem. Its ideal for a controls engineer who's fluent in ladder logic but sees the bigger picture in SCADA data flows, API integrations, and smart automation strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support industrial PC systems that serve as a bridge between control hardware and enterprise platforms

  • Configure and maintain TCP/IP networks to support secure, real-time communication across machines and systems

  • Collaborate with automation teams to integrate PLCs into SCADA systems and IoT platforms

  • Deploy SQL databases, APIs, and OPC-UA communications for seamless data exchange

  • Support and troubleshoot machine software, including vision systems like Cognex and Keyence

  • Assist in system staging, testing, and deployment for new automated equipment

  • Provide onsite and remote technical support for installations, updates, and issue resolution

  • Generate and maintain system documentation, including network maps and configuration guidelines

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with both PLCs and PC-based automation systems

  • Strong understanding of industrial networking fundamentals (IP schemes, subnetting, routing, etc.)

  • Familiarity with SQL databases, API structures, and OPC-UA protocols

  • Comfortable configuring Windows-based PCs for deployment in manufacturing environments

  • Capable of pivoting between controls logic and IT systems for integrated troubleshooting

  • Willing to travel occasionally and support key installations outside standard hours

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in controls, automation, or IT/OT integration roles

  • Exposure to SCADA platforms, IoT solutions (Telit preferred), and edge computing strategies

  • Experience with Cognex or Keyence vision tools

  • Strong field mindset with ability to work cross-functionally across engineering and support teams

  • No degree required proven ability and technical depth are what matter
