HR Generalist | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with organizations in the Allendale area that seek HR Generalists. These companies are committed to building strong teams and look for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Usual Responsibilities

• Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation.
• Administer attendance tracking, leave of absence requests, and FMLA paperwork.
• Support safety program administration and incident reporting.
• Help prepare HR metrics and reports for plant leadership.
• Serve as first point of contact for employee questions about policies, benefits, and payroll.
• Support recruiting for hourly production and skilled trades roles, including screening and scheduling interviews.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and required pre-employment checks.
• Maintain employee records and HRIS data entry with accuracy and confidentiality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Working knowledge of federal and state employment law.
• Experience with HRIS systems and timekeeping software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on site across multiple shifts.
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.
• to 4 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Bonus Qualifications

• PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Experience with hourly workforce recruiting and high-volume hiring.
• Familiarity with OSHA recordkeeping and safety compliance.
• Prior experience in union or non-union production environments.
