Salary Range: $83,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding procedures and parameters for various manufacturing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding-related defects.
• Evaluate and select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and automation solutions.
• Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and manufacturing personnel.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and customer specifications.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on welding processes and metallurgy.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) certification.
• Proficient in various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW) and their application in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of NDT methods, material science, metallurgy, and failure analysis related to welded components.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with robotic welding systems and programming.
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods beyond visual inspection.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers or technicians.
• Knowledge of advanced materials and their weldability, such as superalloys or composites.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or proven experience managing complex projects.
