Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding processes for manufacturing operations.
• Provide technical expertise and support for welding-related issues.
• Design and qualify welding procedures specifications (WPS) and welder qualifications (WPQ).
• Conduct root cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate and recommend new welding equipment, materials, and technologies.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure weldability and manufacturability.
• Develop and deliver training programs on welding techniques and quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in welding engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW) and their application.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Experience with NDT methods and quality control procedures for welded components.
