Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Rockford that are seeking Weld Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) to fabricate and repair components according to specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine appropriate welding techniques and procedures.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to established standards, utilizing measuring instruments as needed.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty welds or equipment, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize welding processes and improve product design for manufacturability.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Welding Technology or a related field.
• AWS Certified Welder (CW) certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proficiency in GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW welding processes.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Experience with various metals, including stainless steel and aluminum.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to welding equipment and processes.
