Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Rapids that are seeking skilled Welding Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify welding procedures (WPS/PQR) in accordance with industry standards.
• Provide technical support and expertise to production for welding-related issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Specify and optimize welding equipment, consumables, and tooling for manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure weldability and manufacturability of new products.
• Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with welding specifications and quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification
• Experience with robotic welding systems
• Familiarity with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods
• Project management experience in a manufacturing setting
• Advanced CAD software proficiency
