Training Manager / Coordinator | Muskegon, MI

Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Muskegon that are seeking skilled Training Manager / Coordinators. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver technical training programs for manufacturing personnel.
• Coordinate external training providers and manage training schedules.
• Design and update training materials, including presentations, manuals, and job aids.
• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance data analysis.
• Maintain accurate training records and track employee certifications.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in training and development, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deliver effective training programs for diverse audiences.
• Strong project management skills with experience coordinating multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
• Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• Certification in instructional design (e.g., CPTD, ATD).
• Experience with e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
• Ability to conduct needs assessments and develop training roadmaps.
