Salary Range: $66,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Rapids that are seeking skilled Tool Room Supervisors. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise tool room staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of tools and equipment.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality standards within the tool room.
• Collaborate with production and engineering departments to address tooling needs and issues.
• Develop and maintain accurate records of tool usage, maintenance, and repair history.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for tool room operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience in a tool room or machining environment, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of various machining processes, tooling, and metrology equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, foster a safe work environment, and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement methodologies.
